Application and Fee
The number of participants is 25 to 30. In order to apply, please register for this package via the Shopping Center of the Masaryk University. Once registered, send the complete application package to this email (put the word "application" into the mail subject):
The application package must contain:
- A curriculum vitae (personal data: name, surname, nationality, date and place of birth, mailing address; Contact information: telephone, fax, e-mail; Academic and Employment information: information about current and former studies, academic qualifications, current professional or academic position; Language skills: English ideally confirmed by a certificate; Other information such as publication list etc.)
- Motivation letter (max. 800 words)
- Scholarship request (max. 400 words; this requirement is obligatory only for students requesting scholarship)
We will start collecting application packages on March 15th and finish on May 31th. Applicants will be informed about their acceptance during June via email.
The deadline for receiving an application is May 31th, 2013, 24:00 GMT. Only after acceptance will you be provided with complete details regarding the payment of the fee. Consequently, successful candidates must pay the fee via the Shopping Center of the Masaryk University by June 30th, 2013, 24:00 GMT. The summer school fee is 7999 CZK, payments are accepted in CZK. The low cost of the Summer School is made available thanks to the generous sponsorship of the partners.
The fee covers:
- Educational program and materials
- Lecturers and management of the summer school
- Special events (such as field trip to the Temelin Nuclear Power Station including transportation, visit to the chateau Telc, social events etc.)
- Full board and accommodation
Participants will have to cover travel arrangements to and from Telc, medical insurance, any visa fees, or any other expenses on their own.
The maximum of five scholarships are available reducing the fee to 5999 CZK. Those seeking such scholarships must send a specific scholarship request of max. 400 words along the motivation letter substantiating the claim. Also, an official letter of recommendation from the student's home institution is likely to help substantiate the scholarship claim. Decisions will be made by the organizers on the basis of the motivation letter, scholarship request, recommendation and CV.
